About The Dreamer
Katie Kilby - Founder & Chief Visionary
Marine Spouse & Returned Peace Corps Volunteer
Katie Kilby is a connector by trade and passion. She has centered her personal and professional lives around building stronger veterans and stronger communities in stateside cities and abroad.
A military brat and Marine Corps Spouse, Katie is proud to have called Baltimore home since closing her Peace Corps Service in Bulgaria in 2011. For most of the last decade, she's worked for various veteran nonprofits, and has made it her mission to serve in the chasm between the individuals looking for support and the resources that exist to serve and engage them.
In 2017, Katie founded The Baltimore Military Muster as an effort to unite the veteran serving space in Central Maryland. A meet up style event, The Muster meets every other month and brings together organization representatives with anyone who is looking to be connected or has a resource or experience to share. Operating under the belief that everyone is looking for something and everyone has something to offer, The Muster will be the bedrock program for Baltimore’s very first Veteran & Community Engagement Hub.
Reveille Grounds will be the permanent home to The Muster, as well as a community gathering space and resource center for military and veteran affiliated individuals and families. An Inclusive, progressive, and innovative space that promotes psychological safety, Reveille will infuse the power of coffee, connection, and collaboration to build stronger veterans and stronger communities in Baltimore. Military affiliated individuals will be able to access the support and resources they need, when they need it, through personalized and coordinated care.
While taking great strides towards launching Reveille Grounds, Katie was recently brought on board as the Development Officer for AMVETS. When Katie is not attempting to “do all the things,” she’s spending every second she can outside in the fresh air with husband, two boys, and fur-kids, putting miles on her motorcycle, or falling in love all over again with the City of Baltimore.
Rachele is a military spouse and Maryland native. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and both her Master of Science in Management and Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College.
Rachele has served as the Program Specialist for the USO Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore Warrior and Family Center at Naval Support Activity Bethesda, Regional Manager for the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, National Military Affairs Program Manager for American Humane, and Baltimore Chapter Director for Blue Star Families. Rachele is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for serving the Military and Veterans community to Reveille Grounds.
Michael is a Marine Corps veteran from Chicago that has settled in Baltimore with his son, Emerson. Enlisting into the Corps out of High School he spent 5 years being shaped by the experience of serving alongside incredible leaders as his service spanned 3 deployments including Iraq, Afghanistan, and a WESTPAC float aboard the USS Makin Island & USS New Orleans. Through this time the greatest asset Michael took from his time in service was the Espirit De Corps that fostered his love for building tight-knit communities of support that accomplish incredible feats built on shared meaning and purpose.
In his current role, Michael leads the Travis Manion Foundations' Mid-Atlantic region as a Senior Manager. Michael is excited to share his skills as a convener, facilitator, resource navigator, evaluator, and program designer with Reveille Grounds.
Abby Baldwin is a native of Flint, Michigan who arrived in Baltimore over ten years ago via Turkmenistan where she served in the US Peace Corps. Baltimore quickly became home as she learned to appreciate a city whose story of blue collar resilience reminded her of home city, but in a bit warmer climate.
For the past 10 years, Abby has worked in various capacities in community engagement, educational advocacy, and workforce development for youth and families. She is dedicated to helping others unlock their potential and create the change they wish to see in their lives and their communities. Abby is excited for the opportunity to serve with the team at Reveille Grounds.

"If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants." Isaac Newton
Reveille Grounds is committed to leveraging the assets and gifts of others to bring this vision to reality. Instead of going forth alone, we plan to create a forum where we can highlight the missions of those who execute them well. In this pursuit, we're "standing on the shoulders of giants" and learning wherever and whenever we can!
